Sacramento County Department of Airports (SCDA) Construction Emissions Planning Tool
KBE developed an Air Emissions Planning Tool to help SCDA staff manage air emissions related to capital development projects at Sacramento International Airport (SAC). Specifically, the tool enables streamlined air quality assessments of construction timing and sequencing. The tool also calculates emissions from motor vehicles, ground support equipment, and stationary sources. The tool evaluates the U.S. EPA and CARB criteria pollutants and their precursors (i.e., CO, NOx, PM10/2.5, VOC, and SO2.) and greenhouse gases. Emission reductions, which can be translated to mitigation credits, will also be calculated.
Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) Capacity Enhancement Program (CEP) Construction Emissions Tracking & Reporting
Under this assignment, KBE annually computes emissions from construction-related activities associated with the PHL Capacity Enhancement Program (CEP) and additional capital development projects. The emissions inventory is based upon actual construction activities. The results are used in support of the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Environmental Impact Statement (EIS) and General Conformity Determination (GCD) for the CEP.
Memphis International Airport Construction Emissions Inventory, Tennessee
KBE completed the air quality assessment for the construction of a consolidated rental car facility at this airport. Work involved estimating projected construction activity, the types of equipment/fuel used, vehicle/equipment utilization rates and the use of the Airport Construction Emissions Inventory Tool (ACEIT).
